Psychoanalysis and Artificial Intelligence

Guideline: Identical - Diverse.

Coordinator: Javier Bolaños.

First hypothesis: Those who work with Artificial Intelligence today, will work with Mental Health in the future. If there is an idea of the mind there will surely be an idea of men. Today the machine is not yet a man, but its technological evolution entails that the limits between both become narrow. We inquire about a man that seeks to be reclaimed/restored. What is left off of men? Why a psychoanalysis today?

Psychoanalysis of the future

Guideline: Specify what psychoanalysis can offer young people building a time yet to come.

Coordinator: Javier Bolanos and Florencia Bernthal Raz

We are interested in reaching an idea of the future that contemplates life in an artificial world. Will we be able to generate/sustain life in that context? To answer these questions, we must carefully study the implications of children in today's world. What territory do they inhabit? For they will be the absolute protagonists of what is to come.

Psychoanalysis and Translation

Guideline: Politics of writing about psychoanalysis in a different language.

Coordinator: Florencia Bernthal Raz.

Is the destiny of the written word to be read in one single way? It is remarkable how a faithful translation is affected by this notion. Questions are raised concerning the method, the style, the politics and the object of the translation as the body of work achieves a different morph when it is translated into another language. The impossible to be translated is present in the text and thus concede the emergence of the letter that the original work glimpses. The essence nor the meaning when it is said in another language prevails.

The conception of the mental in San Francisco, CA

Coordinator: Julieta Lucero Neirotti (2021).

Located at the entrance of a natural harbor and developed as a center of maritime trade, San Francisco was signed by immigration. A place where East and West converged and created a novel cultural setting. In this scenario, Mental health found its compound.
